When you use this website, we only process the data required to operate the polls. This includes in particular:
- poll content, such as title, description and answer options
- participant details, such as name or pseudonym
- contact details provided voluntarily, such as email address or mobile number
- technical log data, such as timestamps, IP-related security data and delivery or sign-in events

We process data in order to
- provide and manage polls
- store and display submitted responses
- send sign-in links or notifications by email or SMS if those features are used
- prevent abuse and ensure secure technical operation
4. Legal bases
Processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where it is necessary to provide and use the website and the respective poll.
Where processing is necessary for secure and reliable operation, error analysis or abuse prevention, it is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Where you voluntarily provide additional contact details, processing may also be based on Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
5. Recipients
Personal data is only disclosed where this is necessary to operate the website. This may include technical service providers for hosting, email delivery or optional SMS delivery.
Currently relevant categories of recipients:
- hosting and server operation: Amazon AWS, location Frankfurt, Germeny
- email delivery: Mailgun
- SMS delivery, if enabled: Gateway API
Data is not shared for advertising purposes.
6. Storage period
Poll and participation data is stored only as long as necessary to operate the respective poll, to prevent abuse, or to maintain technical traceability. It is then deleted.
Technical log and delivery data is only stored for a limited period where needed for operations, security and troubleshooting.
